Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer this line from F. F. Bruce.

“A Stoic in the stocks would have borne the discomfort calmly and uncomplainingly, but would he at the same time have been heard “singing hymns to God,” as Paul and Silas did in the Philippian town jail?”

²⁵ Now about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them;

Abba, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises You.  Bless You, for giving us feelings and emotions to be used for our protection. We praise You for being love and showering that love down on us from above. We thank You for removing our hearts of stone so we can experience Your grace and peace as we sing out hymns of praise for You, our Lord and God. Your servant shutters at the idea of living without Your love for even a moment as You alone bring light into this fallen darkness. For this reason, may praise be fixed upon our lips. In Jesus’ name, amen.
