You Have Been Prayed For… ROMANS 8:13

Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer this line from Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

“When the flesh is satisfied it is hard to pray with cheerfulness or to devote oneself to a life of service which calls for much self-renunciation.”

Romans 8:13 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

13 for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

Abba, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises You.  Thank You, Holy Spirit, for leading us to our Father and counseling us along the path of righteouness.  Thank You for all the blessings that keep us satisfied in the flesh but please help us to know the source.  Deliver us from the evil one and turn us from temptation so we may put to death the old life and fully embrace the new.  Prompt our hearts to pray, especially when we would not otherwise.  We know in our hearts that Your ways are the right ways.  Shine Your face on us today and prepare us for good works and encouraging words.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

  1. It’s amazing how fast I can fold inward and run life alone and by myself. A period of time goes by and I realize just how selfish and alone I am. Praise the living King that His mercies are new every morning and that is for all. Praise the Spirit for His diligence. Thank you for your consistent diligence my brother. Love you big.
