Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer these lines from Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
“Anger is always an attack on the brother’s life, for it refuses to let him live and aims at his destruction.”
“Every idle word which we think so little of betrays our lack of respect for our neighbor, and shows that we place ourselves on a pinnacle above him and value our own lives higher than his.”
Ecclesiastes 7:9 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
9 Do not be eager in your heart to be angry,
For anger resides in the bosom of fools.
Abba, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises You. Thank You for wisdom and understanding. Your servant confesses and repents from a life full of anger and rage. Thank You for changing this heart from stone to flesh. Guide us into a desire to understand rather than our fleshly desires of being right. Show us the right way is better than our own way. Help us to slow down in this overly busy world so we can seek understanding and discern with Holy Spirit wisdom what our actions and responses should be. Continue to press and apply pressure on the sin in Your servants’ life. Prepare our hearts and souls for the sinless heaven that awaits. In Jesus’ name, amen.
