Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer these lines from Max Lucado.
“Unity doesn’t begin in examining others but in examining self. Unity begins; not in demanding that others change, but in admitting that we aren’t so perfect ourselves.”
Luke 6:42
New American Standard Bible
42 How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother’s eye.
Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and thanks You. Bless You, for faithfully exposing our specks and logs giving us the choice to make of repentance or rebellion. We thank You for helping us making righteous choices and repent of our stubborn pride that is at war with You. As we come to You in prayer, please continue showing us where we are less than perfect to keep us humble. In Jesus’ name, amen.
If this prayer blessed you or brought you peace, please share this with someone in need.
One of my favorite scriptures. I think it shows God’s humor along with a specific message. Wouldn’t that be the way of a good earthy father? How much more from our Heavenly Father? Awesome.
