You Have Been Prayed For… JAMES 3:5-6

Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer a quote from Jeanne Guyon.

“You see, there are two kinds of people who keep silent.  The first is one who has nothing to say, and the other is the one who has too much to say…Silence is produced from excess, not lack.”

James 3:5-6 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

So also the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things.  See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire! And the tongue is a fire, the very world of iniquity; the tongue is set among our members as that which defiles the entire body, and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell.

Lord Jesus, Your servant prays for help in being silent.  Holy Spirit, please, Set a guard over my mouth and keep watch over the door of my lips (Psalm 141:3).  Your servant has way too much to say and too frequently is not asked.  Provide opportunities for listening and hearing.  Prompt Your servant to ask questions rather than making statements.  Use Your servant for only good.  Praise You and the works of Your hands.   Bless You, for protecting Your flocks, for refreshing Your shepherds, and for being a good and merciful Father.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

  1. “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.” Psalm 19:14. I love the transparency, I’m encouraged! Always praying, Patricia S.❤️🙏🏻
