Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and worships You. 

Bless You, for giving us such a simple and direct task. But God, without You and Your grace, I will certainly fail. No, Lord, I do fail, each and every time I take my eyes and heart away from the Cross. Take the anger that remains out of my heart. I did not invite this into Your temple. Help me to better learn Your truth and to walk in it. I struggle so much with humility and compassion and get frustrated knowing how much of both You have modeled for me. I pray for the strength today, to look for every opportunity to respond with compassion first. Before trying to be heard, or be right, or even escape, help me to simply listen, with the knowledge that we are all hurting and with a heart filled with Holy Spirit compassion.

Father, we thank You that You have heard this prayer. Amen in Jesus’ name and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
