¹⁷ Like one who takes a dog by the ears
Is he who passes by and meddles with strife not belonging to him.

Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and worships You. 

Bless You, for rebuking us when we stray from Your will and meddle in matters that do not deserve our attention. Grow my desire for Your will and help my eyes focus more completely on Jesus Christ. Help me close the gap and the space that exists between us and ignore anything that distracts me from Your gory and my great need for Your mercy. Lead our steps into Your arms and away from idols.

Father, we thank You that You have heard us. Amen in Jesus’ name and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
