Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer this line from Charles H. Spurgeon.
“Christian, make your life a clear testimony. You need not say, “I am true”: be true.”
James 2:15-16
New American Standard Bible 1995
15 If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?
Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and worships You.
Bless Your holiness, faithfulness, and absolute truth. Praise every word that proceeds from Your mouth to nourish us and fill us with light and truth. Help us to worship You by being true and not merely speaking what is true. Empower us to live out what You have placed deep within. I am sure to fail on my own so please provide all my needs so I can sing with king David,
“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
Father, we thank You that You have heard us. Amen in Jesus’ name and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
