Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer this line from Charles H. Spurgeon.

“Until there is a real anguish in the sinner’s conscience, there is no Christ for him; until the chastisement which he feels becomes grievous, he cannot see Jesus.”

²⁴ Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? ²⁵ Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.

Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and worships You. 

Bless You, for gifting us the law to expose and teach us we are sinners. Praise You for sending us the answer in Jesus as the perfect offering. Thank You for sending the Holy Spirit, our Advocate, and Helper to guide us into the truth and light. With all of these gifts and the countless other mercies and grace that You provide, we can live in freedom from the law of sin and rest in the law of Your amazing grace. Thank You for the anguish that results in us running into Your faithful and loving arms.

Father, we thank You that You have heard us. Amen in Jesus’ name and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
