You Have Been Prayed For… ACTS 20:24

Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer these lines from Martin Luther.

“When Paul placed a difference between the law and the Gospel, there was also a difference not only with respect to time but also with respect to its author and effective cause, for the law was delivered by angels, but the Gospel by the Lord Himself. Thus the Gospel is much more excellent than the law because the law is the voice of the servants, but the Gospel is the voice of the Lord Himself.”

Acts 20:24
New American Standard Bible 1995

24 But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.

Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and worships You.  Bless You, for prompting Paul to write such moving words and thoughts. Praise the excellency of the Gospel that provides us salvation, hope, and freedom. Help me have the mind of Jesus as I rejoice in this day that You have made. May all my thoughts be heavenly thoughts and all my words be grace to the ears that hear. Thank You for the grace and mercies that enable joy to fill our hearts in the face of every struggle. Protect our hearts from becoming too heavy with grief and remind us of our future when we are low. Father, we thank You that You have heard us. Amen in Jesus’ name and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
