Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer this line from Charles H. Spurgeon.
“Is not patient silence the best reply to a gainsaying world? Calm endurance answers some questions infinitely more conclusively than the loftiest eloquence.”
Job 13:5
New American Standard Bible 1995
5 “O that you would be completely silent,
And that it would become your wisdom!
Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and worships You. Bless You, for the many warnings against our untamable tongues. Praise You for empowering us with Your Holy Spirit that provides us the self-control we need to keep our mouths shut and our ears open. Thank You for granting us wisdom from above and preserving Your Word forever. Only with You can we find the calm endurance required to overcome our trials. Help me to become more patient and willing to be silent so Your glory can be revealed through me. Father, we thank You that You have heard us. Amen in Jesus’ name and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
