Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer these lines from Max Lucado.
“Legalism is the search for innocence – not forgiveness. It’s a systematic process of defending self, explaining self, exalting self, and justifying self. The obsession with legalism? Self. Not God. Legalism has no pity on people. Legalism makes my opinion your burden, makes my opinion your boundary, and makes my opinion your obligation.”
Luke 11:39
New American Standard Bible
39 But the Lord said to him, “Now you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and of the dish; but your inside is full of greed and wickedness.
Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and worships You. Bless You, for sending us Jesus to fulfill the law and satisfy it once and for all. Praise Your abounding grace and steadfast love. Thank You for cleaning us from the inside out and sending Your Holy Spirit to dwell in us and work through us. Help us die to self so Christ can be glorified as we walk with Your Spirit. Lead us in forgiveness and empower us to forgive others in kindness so Your glory can chase away all darkness. Father, we thank You that You have heard us. Amen in Jesus’ name and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
