Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer this line from Stephen Arterburn.
“Grieving allows you to trade the emptiness of your protected world for the fullness of life with others.”
John 16:20
New American Standard Bible 1995
20 Truly, truly, I say to you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy.
Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and worships You. Bless You, for the promise to turn our weeping into joy and our mourning into dancing. The hope You have placed into our hearts empowers us to walk according to the call You have made on our lives. Thank You for being so gracious and faithful in all Your ways. Praise You for being our strength as we walk through our own grief so we are prepared to encourage others as they grieve with compassion. Thank You for the joy we find in Jesus. Father, we thank You that You have heard us. In Jesus’ name and in the power of the Holy Spirit, amen.
If this prayer blessed you or brought you peace, please share this with someone in need.
After reading today’s message, the first thought was being able to speak with Richard G. once again. Ann Marie and I have fond memories of the dinner we shared with Richard and Matthew back in June at our house. Remorseful that we had not done so sooner.
Richard’s words and stories were so encouraging and helpful for all of us.
