Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer these lines from Warren W. Wiersbe.
“Our evangelical churches have many different kinds of observances, and it is wrong for us to go beyond the Word of God in comparing, criticizing, or condemning. But all of us must beware of that legalistic spirit that caters to the flesh, leads to pride, and makes the outward event a substitute for the inward experience.”
New American Standard Bible
23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier provisions of the Law: justice and mercy and faithfulness; but these are the things you should have done without neglecting the others.
Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and worships You. Bless You, for satisfying the law with the blood of Your Son so we can live under the banner of grace that reads, It Is Finished! Help us in our coming and going to avoid the snares of legalism so we can fully rejoice in the free grace that cost You so very much. Guide us with the heart of Jesus in all our affairs. In Jesus’ name and in the power of the Holy Spirit, amen.
If this prayer blessed you or brought you peace, please share this with someone in need.
