Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer these lines from Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
“The entire day receives order and discipline when it acquires unity. This unity must be sought and found in morning prayer. It is confirmed in work. The morning prayer determines the day. Squandered time of which we are ashamed, temptations to which we succumb, weaknesses and lack of courage in work, disorganization and lack of discipline in our thoughts and in our conversation with other men, all have their origin most often in the neglect of morning prayer.”
New American Standard Bible
35 And in the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and prayed there for a time.
Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and worships You. Bless You, for faithfully guiding Your servant in morning prayer. Praise You for making it possible to come before You as children of the Most High with all our needs. Help us to grow in the likeness of our Savior as we continue to draw nearer to You. In Jesus’ name and in the power of the Holy Spirit, amen.
If this prayer blessed you or brought you peace, please share this with someone in need.
