Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer this line from Christopher J.H. Wright.
“If we allow our doctrine of election to become merely a secret calculus that determines who gets saved and who does not, we have lost touch with its original biblical intention.”
1 Samuel 16:7
New American Standard Bible
7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God does not see as man sees, since man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and worships You. Bless Your perfect judgments and righteous mercy. Praise You for looking into our hearts and repairing what is broken. Help us to look and see with Your eyes when we see each other. Help us not judge on appearances as You lead us on Your paths of righteousness, for Your glory and our good. In Jesus’ name and in the power of the Holy Spirit, amen.
