19 God is not human, that he should lie,
not a human being, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?
Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and thanks You. Bless You, for Your unchanging perfection. Knowing that You are perfect and good gives us confidence in the hope we place in You. Who but You, almighty God, is pure and holy? Help us recall in times of trouble that You are indeed the Alpha and Omega. In Jesus’ name and in the power of the Holy Spirit, amen.
