You Have Been Prayed For… 1 TIMOTHY 5:8

Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer this line from Jerry Bridges.

“It is so easy to ask God to do something more because that postpones facing up to our own responsibility.”

1 Timothy 5:8
New American Standard Bible

But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and thanks You.  Bless You for blessing us with the ability to provide for our loved ones. Please do not give up on us as we struggle to do what is right and know that we recognize that any good that is in us comes from You. May all we do be done for Your glory and not our own selfish desires or pride. We acknowledge You in all our ways and rejoice in Your love for us. In Jesus’ name, amen.

If this prayer blessed you or brought you peace, please share this with someone in need.

  1. Very appropriate message to start a new week. Jerry Bridges stated it eloquently. Thankfully when I woke up this morning, the urge to go walk for exercise was present. So I went for a 30 minute walk. Realizing that just wishing to lose weight will not happen without actually taking steps ( no pun intended. Actually was. ) and eating less along with better foods.
After the walk 🚶‍♂️ and a healthy breakfast, I read today’s message and prayer 🙏. So appropriate 😊

    Thank you Matthew.
