Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer these lines from Charles R. Swindoll.
“Think about how you respond to others when they act in unloving ways toward you. Do you have opportunities in your life to minister with unconditional grace and mercy toward the unlovely? Or do you reserve your love for those who “deserve” it?”
Matthew 5:39
New American Standard Bible
39 But I say to you, do not show opposition against an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other toward him also.
Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and thanks You. Bless You, for the words of wisdom that teach us that even sinners love those who love them and prompting us to love even our enemies. Help us to see others as You do and to deal with them with compassion and love knowing they are sinners like us. In Jesus’ name, amen.
If this prayer blessed you or brought you peace, please share this with someone in need.
A tough one for me as at times, I seem to want to harbor my anger towards those who “deserve it.” That’s when the Holy Spirit prompts me with grace and mercy that makes me realize He wants me to extend that same grace and mercy. Thank you brother for yet another refreshing message this morning!
