Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer this line from Charles R. Swindoll.
“From a mature, spiritually-minded Christian perspective, asking a worldly-minded non-Christian to settle disputes among believers who are to live according to Christ’s otherworldly mandates is like entering a writing contest with judges who can’t read.”
1 Corinthians 6:1
New American Standard Bible
6 Does any one of you, when he has a case against his neighbor, dare to go to law before the unrighteous and not before the saints?
Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and thanks You. Praise Your perfect justice and mercy towards us as we struggle to obey the laws You have established. Bless You, for being our judge as You alone are good. Help us to forgive in the way You have forgiven us and help us to rejoice in the wonderful gift of reconciliation. We thank You and love You for being our all in all. In Jesus’ name, amen.
If this prayer blessed you or brought you peace, please share this with someone in need.
Actually, then, it is already a defeat for you, that you have lawsuits with one another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded? (1 Corinthians 6:7, NASB)
I think about this verse a lot. This morning you brought it to mind again. It’s an easy verse to quote but a hard one to learn. So glad that we’re under the law of Christ and not the letter of the Law. Thanks brother for sharing every morning and especially praying for us all!!! Grace Mercy and Peace be multiplied unto you
