Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer these lines from T. M. Taylor.
“The obedience which the Christian man owes to the State is never absolute but, at the most, partial and contingent. It follows that the Christian lives always in a tension between two competing claims; that in certain circumstances disobedience to the command of the State may be not only a right but also a duty. This has been classical doctrine ever since the apostles declared that they ought to obey God rather than men.”
Acts 5:29
English Standard Version
29 But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.
Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and thanks You. Bless You and Your law that is above all men and any state, Praise the mercy and justice that come from Your mouth and perfect nature. Grant us wisdom and understanding to discern when to obey You rather than man and grant us the boldness and strength to act accordingly. Give us ears to hear and conviction to take a stand against the evil set against You, Your church, and Your people. In Jesus’ name, amen.
If this prayer blessed you or brought you peace, please share this with someone in need.
Yes! To obey You Father is truth! Ty Father for inscribing the character of Christ upon our hearts, and that others will see and be set free!
