Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer this line from Thomas Brooks.
“The main reason why men dote upon the world, and damn their souls to get the world, is, because they are not acquainted with a greater glory.”
Romans 8:18 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and thanks You. Bless You, for being the greatest Glory and our hope, and for saving our souls from damnation. Your servant knows too well the suffering of lusting after this world, but would not consider it worthy of comparison to the suffering done on the cross or to the glory that is yet to come. Grant us the eyes to see sin as You do so we would be equally repulsed by it and chosen the better Way. In Jesus’ name, amen.
