Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer this question from Saint Augustine.

“Why is it that a person should wish to experience suffering by watching grievous and tragic events which he himself would not wish to endure?”

James 4:8 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

⁸ Come close to God and He will come close to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and thanks You.  Bless You, for removing the desires to watch the shows and events of this world that used to captivate this depraved soul. Thank You, for changing Your servant into a lover of the Word rather than a lover of the world. While temptations come and stumbling is certain, we can rejoice in the salvation of our souls and Your lovingkindness that never fails. As we draw near to You, our Creator, help clean us of our sins and worldly desires and replace them with a fire that cannot be quenched this side of heaven. A fire for our Lord, Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray, amen.
