Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer this line from Saint Augustine.
“I intend to remind myself of my past foulness and carnal corruptions, not because I love them but so that I may love You, my God.”
Revelation 2:4-5 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
4 But I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5 Therefore, remember from where you have fallen, and repent, and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and I will remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.
Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and thanks You. Bless You, for the ability to repent and the soft hearts that are willing to do so. Praise the gift of conviction we feel when we chose sin over following Your will. Hear and answer this prayer for all who have left You for idols or false gods to return to You and the truth. Continue to convict those who suppress the truth for what seems to be a more comfortable lie. Remind us of the eternity that awaits each of us and that hell is avoidable if we will walk in the truth. In Jesus’ name, amen.
If this prayer blessed you or brought you peace, please share this with someone in need.
