Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer this line from Timothy Keller.

“Making an idol out of doctrinal accuracy, ministry success, or moral rectitude leads to constant internal conflict, arrogance and self-righteousness, and oppression of those whose views differ.”

Colossians 3:5 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

⁵ Therefore, treat the parts of your earthly body as dead to sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.

Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and thanks You.  Bless You, for such a rich reminder to not allow pride to creep into our lives. Thank You , for teaching us how knowledge puffs up and causes division and oppression. We look to You for the wisdom and power to be honest with ourselves and others that You alone have perfect knowledge and that in many cases we need to simply confess our ignorance or leave it as a mystery of God. No creature has a perfect understanding of the Creator, and to know You at all is a blessing beyond imagination. Praise You for saving a bunch of sinners that were helpless and lost find hope in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
