Group Guidelines – Imitate Jesus

  1. One facilitator per evening – not assuming the Master’s role, but we must remove confusion and follow a plan. (1 Corinthians 14:33, 2 Corinthians 2:11)
  2. We must maintain our peace and love for one another (Isaiah 32:17, Proverbs 12:20, Romans 14:17, 2 Corinthians 13:11, 2 Thessalonians 3:16, 2 John 1:3)
  3. Unity not division (1 Corinthians 1:10, John 13:35, Philippians 2:2-3, Romans 14:19, Colossians 3:13-14, Psalm 133:1, 1 Peter 3:8, Ephesians 4:3)
  4. No profanity (Ephesians 5:4, Ephesians 4:29, Colossians 3:8)
  5. No guilt or shaming as there is no need to change a mind or admit defeat on the spot (Isaiah 47:3)
  6. 30 min max teaching to allow discussion after (Acts 20:9)
  7. No negative comment or criticism during the teaching or programs, please wait for the end for any challenges and speak with love and grace (Colossians 4:6, Ephesians 4:15)
  8. Humility needs to be applied or we will need to stifle it (Romans 12:16, Colossians 3:12, Ephesians 4:2, James 4:6, 1 Peter 5:5, Micah 6:8, Proverbs 11:2)
  9. Listen to the others full question or comment before speaking (Proverbs 18:2, Proverbs 18:13)
  10. Do not run on longer than needed to make your point – think before you speak. (Job 15:3, 2 Timothy 2:14, Matthew 12:36, Titus 3:9, Job 35:16)
  11. Silence all phones (Zephaniah 1:7 Be silent before the Lord God!)
  12. Speak about ourselves or God – not others. (Matthew 7:12)

1 Corinthians 14:33
New American Standard Bible
