Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer these lines from C.S. Lewis from his work Screwtape Proposes A Toast.

“No man who says I’m as good as you believes it. He would not say it if he did. The St. Bernard never says it to the toy dog, nor the scholar to the dunce, not the employable to the bum, nor the pretty woman to the plain. The claim to equality, outside the strictly political field, is made only by those who feel themselves to be in some way inferior.”

²⁰ Indeed, there is not a righteous person on earth who always does good and does not ever sin.

Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises and thanks You.  Bless You, for reminders that sin is crouching behind many doors and for giving us the Armor required to stand firm in our faith that leads to victory in Christ Jesus. Praise You, for being our righteousness and driving out the deceitful nature of our old selves. Thank You, for leading us into our new life that is rooted in Jesus and for our Advocate that continues to speak to us all that He hears from Your mouth. Continue to correct us with Your lovingkindness for we know You only correct those whom You love. In Jesus’ name, amen.
