Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer this line from F. F. Bruce.
“The confession of the Christian faith can be cold and indeed unattractive if it is not accompanied by the spirit of Christian love.”
1 Corinthians 13:3 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
3 And if I give away all my possessions to charity, and if I surrender my body so that I may glory, but do not have love, it does me no good.
Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises You. Bless You, for granting us wisdom when we ask with right motives and pure hearts. Praise You, for the faithful mercy and love You never hold back from Your children. Your servant must first confess of not always offering a confession of faith with warmth and gentleness. Please grant Your forgiveness for these missteps. Your servant prays for Your Holy Spirit to guide all confessions of our faith to ensure we are not cold, but speak only truth in love and always with the same measure of grace that led us to believe these truths. May Your word gracefully offend all hearers out of the middle and into a hot fire of passion for You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
