Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer this line from Andrew Murray.
“Place yourself before God in your utter helplessness; consent heartily to the fact of your impotence to slay or make alive yourself; sink down into your own nothingness, in the spirit of meek and patient and trustful surrender to God.”
Matthew 16:25 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
25 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises You. Your servant comes before You this morning with a humble spirit to offer full surrender. Praise You, for teaching and leading with Your wisdom to the peace that can only be found in You. Your servant acknowledges the weakness of the body and rejoices in the power of Your grace which is wonderfully sufficient. Guide our hearts to Yours as we lean on You in all circumstances. In Jesus’ name, amen.
If this prayer blessed you or brought you peace, please share this with someone in need.
Sounds so counterintuitive to “surrender”. Sounds so counterintuitive to “die to self”. But these are worldly views akin to the view His chosen people had when they thought Jesus would be a worldly king. Instead, He intended to be a King like no other. The wonderful difference between self and salvation. Nice choice today brother, thank you.
