You Have Been Prayed For… 2 CORINTHIANS 5:9

Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer these lines from Stephen Neill.

“I am inclined to think that ambition in any ordinary sense of the term is nearly always sinful in ordinary men.  I am certain that in the Christian it is always sinful, and that it is most inexcusable of all in the ordained minister.

2 Corinthians 5:9 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him.

Abba, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises You.  Thank You for placing proper ambition in the hearts of Your children to be imitators of Jesus.  Please guard our hearts from all the other ambitions that would only serve to puff ourselves up.  Humble us when we pursue anything other than Your love.  Do not spare the rod when we turn to chasing wind.  May we always be concerned with how the light You give us is being shared with others for Your glory.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

    1. It is a daily, if not moment by moment, responsibility of any mature follower to guard the heart, mind, and soul to ensure we follow the great commandment.
May we all be filled to overflowing with His love so it splashes on all we encounter. Stay blessed my sister 🙌🏼❤️
