You Have Been Prayed For… LUKE 12:3

Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer these lines from Christopher J.H. Wright.

“Switching on the light in a dark place is not snobbish.  It’s common sense.  God created Israel to be a light in a dark world.”

Luke 12:3 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

3 Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed upon the housetops.

Abba, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises You.  Thank You for switching on the light in our hearts.  Help us to shine before men in a way that glorifies You.  Let our speech always be with grace as we share what You have revealed to us.  Control our unruly tongues and bring them into submission.  Let no corrupting talk come out of our mouths, but only such words of truth that are good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.  Your servant confesses to a bitterness and pride that is in need of Your healing touch.  Allow Your word to be seared into this heart to produce life and love that will overpower the sin and the flesh which lead only to death.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

  1. Matthew, your transparency brings me comfort. It makes you approachable but reveals my needs to confess also. What’s in the well comes up in the bucket. Lord, clarify the contents of our heart well with Your Holy Spirit. I love you brother. Thank you.

  2. Encouragement for the soul is so rich! Along with this scripture you shared. I often cry out this scripture in Psalms . “Oh Lord, let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you O God , my strength and Redeemer. “

  3. Amen to all! Love it! Pastor Dan says, what’s on the inside of the tube of toothpaste comes out. Just like us and what’s in our heart. I pray God for words that praise You, only you deserve to be lifted high!❤️🙏🏻
