You Have Been Prayed For… MATTHEW 6:19-21

Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer these lines from Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

“Earthly possessions dazzle our eyes and delude us into thinking that they can provide security and freedom from anxiety.  Yet all the time they are the very source of all anxiety.”

Matthew 6:19-21 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; 21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Abba, in the name of our Lord Jesus, Your servant praises You.  Thank You for reminding us that all our treasures on earth are wasting away.  Praise You for the lasting treasures of heaven.  Lord, take away the wrong desires and help us to seek You and stop chasing wind.  Thank You for allowing us to enjoy the world You made and for putting Your trust in us to choose right from wrong.  Help our trust and our unbelief.  Guide us with Your righteousness towards better decisions.  Help us to shine before our brothers to bring You glory in heaven.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

  1. Isn’t it interesting that many of us have some of the fondest memories when we were first starting on our adult journey. When we had not as much “stuff”. Thank you my brother.

  2. I love, “Be marked and identified with God’s nature, and His blessing will flow through you all the time.” from Utmost. It sounds so easy, but self tries to steal it. We can rely on His promise, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Peace❤️🙏🏻
