Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer a few lines from C.S Lewis’ Mere Christianity:
“Now repentance is no fun at all. It is something much harder than merely eating humble pie. It means unlearning all the self-conceit and self-will we have been training ourselves into for thousands of years.”
“Only a bad person needs to repent: only a good person can repent perfectly.”

19 Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;
Lord Jesus, praise You for the ability to come to You and repent. Thank You for the cleansing power of Your blood. Help Your servant to put aside self-interest and arrogance. Humble and refresh us, refine our nature towards righteousness. Come to our aid when we are tempted or suffering to ensure we do not stumble. Place us in situations where we can encourage and invest in others’ lives for Your glory. We love because You loved us first. Grant us even more capacity to love in Your perfect ways. In Jesus’ name, amen.
