Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I offer this from C.S Lewis’ Mere Christianity:
“Once the element of competition has gone, pride has gone.”
1 Peter 5:5 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
5 You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
Lord Jesus, praise You for the lesson of humility. Bless You for never being showy or proud, but always willing to serve and to share. Grant us grace in those times when our sin nature crowds out the humility and heart of service You have placed in us. Holy Spirit, guide us back to the path of righteousness. Thank You for the grace and mercy as we grow into the disciples You meant for us to be. In Jesus’ name, amen.
