Assignment:  Write a prayer asking God to show you how to genuinely receive love and also show Christ’s love to others in your church.

Father God, You are more than worthy of Your servant’s praise and adoration.  Lord Jesus, soften this heart and prepare it to love and serve Your children, specifically those in the local church, Your bride.  Prepare this heart to receive love as You would, with gratitude and a sincere thank you.  Remind Your servant as often as needed that there is no room for selfishness where true love lives.  Be the strength needed to persevere in the face of the trials and tests that lay ahead.  Provide the refuge needed and peaceful rest to refresh us so we can water Your flocks.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
