Assignment: Write a prayer of surrender. Ask God to help you release to Him what you’ve been holding tightly.
Father God, I know You are my Maker and still, I hold back from fully surrendering. Why does Your servant buck against You God? Help my trust to grow and guide me in Your wisdom. Take, violently if needed, all that I cling to that is against Your will and nature. Do not spare the rod on Your servant when correction is needed. My desire is too completely, with gladness, surrender all of me to all of You. May it be so evident that it draws the lost to You. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
