Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I ask that you consider these statements from Jeanne-Marie Bouvier de la Motte-Guyon (commonly known as Madame Guyon, 13 April 1648 – 9 June 1717)
“Listening is a passive sense. If you ever want to hear anything, you must yield a passive ear.“
“Outward silence develops inward silence…“
Jeremiah 33:3 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
3 ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
Abba, by the power of the Holy Spirit, through and by Your Son Jesus, Your servant prays. Praise You for Your gentle voice. Help us to be quiet so we can hear it. You know we live in this fallen world that attempts, and in many cases succeeds, to distract us from Your love. Help us to maintain a focus on You so when we ask, Your voice will be heard. Soften our hearts to the point where nothing can come between our desire to do Your will. In the Name of Jesus chase away the sin that is crouching at our doors. Be our peace and rest so we will be able to slow down and be still. Protect us and bless us as we look for the opportunities You provide to bring You glory and honor. My trust and prayer are in Jesus’ Name, amen.
