Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I ask that you consider this statement from Jeanne-Marie Bouvier de la Motte-Guyon (commonly known as Madame Guyon, 13 April 1648 – 9 June 1717)

“There is something in this universe which is the very opposite of God; it is the self.”

¹⁰ and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him—

Abba, by the power of the Holy Spirit, through and by Your Son Jesus, Your servant prays.  Lord, You alone are worthy of our worship and praise.  Help us to see that it is our self-interest that leads us to sin and to separation from You.  Even the momentary absence of Your presence is painful, who can endure an eternity of separation from You our Giver of Life?  Your servant prays for Your entire creation to lean into a renewed and true knowledge of who You are, what You have done for us, and the promises to come.  But let us not desire this for ourselves.  Help us to have a pure desire of following Your Way for Your glory alone.  In Jesus’ Name, amen.
