Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. Today I ask that you consider this statement from Horatius Bonar (19 December 1808 – 31 July 1889), a contemporary and acquaintance of Robert Murray M’cheyne was a Scottish churchman and poet. He is principally remembered as a prodigious hymnodist. Friends knew him as Horace Bonar.
“It is the way the Master went; should not the servant tread it still?”
Matthew 16:24 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.
Abba, by the power of the Holy Spirit, through and by Your Son Jesus, Your servant prays. Praise You for the Way. Bless You, for paying such a high price for Us, declaring our worth with Your Son Jesus’ blood. Hear Your servant pray, hear Your servant’s heart and place desire within us to desire You more and only You. Oh my God, how long will we attempt to go our way and play god? How long and how much must we endure before realizing we are powerless and are in great need of You. May we try not to outdo You this day you so graciously gave to us, but stay alert for opportunities You provide us to follow Your Way. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
Very good and encouraging words
