Hallelujah, praise the living God for another day to pray for you all and be used by Him. The thought this morning is Free Will. It is not my aim to tell my opinions, but rather ask questions that might spur the heart and mind to seek answers. My question today is this: Why would God, who by definition is perfect, bother giving commands and instructions to His creation if Free Will or if you prefer Choice did not exist? It would seem to me to be illogical and God simply is not that. But if you have in your heart or mind a very good defense for lack of Free Will I am very interested in that point of view. I know this much, God is more than I can fathom, and I will lean on Him for understanding.
Joshua 24:15 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
15 If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Heavenly Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit, through and by Your Son Jesus Your servant prays. Hear Us Jesus and may our praise bring You joy. All glory and honor belong to You Lord. Whether or not there is Free WIll is of little concern Father, but knowledge of You and the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ is so much more than enough. Guide our hearts and minds towards truth and light. Soften our rebellious hearts and make firm our faith as to prepare us for the opportunities that await. May all we do bring You glory. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
