Kindness and truth…ponder this for a moment…

Good morning from me to all of you, by the grace of our Lord Jesus I am able to share my walk with Him, with you.  I am so thankful for His Word and specifically Proverbs. It was a dear brother that put me onto reading Proverbs daily (thanks Travis) and since that time I am sure at least a few have been written on my heart.  I encourage you all to do the same, especially if looking into the Word is not a part of your daily routine.

Now back to kindness and truth, it has been my experience that these two are like muscles to be trained and developed.  The more I practice kindness and truth, the easier and more natural they flow from me.  I am convinced that it is the Holy Spirit and His Fruit that flows from a believer’s heart that in turn produce kindness and truth.  I encourage anyone reading this to look for a way each day to be kind and to share truth today (or more importantly, avoid lies).  Fasten on tightly His Belt of Truth!

One personal request for your prayers:  Please offer prayers on my behalf for discernment as I begin to plan a big next step in my life.  God has placed on my heart to pursue higher education in Christian Apologetics and New Testament studies.  I will be including this in my daily prayers as well and will start a new series of entries so all my faith family can enjoy this journey with me.  Thank you all so much for your love and support and above all I thank God.

Proverbs 3:3 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Heavenly Father, I adore and love You with all that I am.  I pray this morning for my loved ones and theirs that You would place opportunities in front of us to be kind and share the truth.  I pray our needs are met today by Your grace and compassion, and as we step out into Your glorious day our hearts would be soft and prepared to love.  For all my brothers and sisters who are in trials or battling illness, Lord Jesus, I call upon Your mighty power to be our victory once more.  Holy Spirit, guide me as I set course in my pursuit to know You more deeply and intimately with the goal of becoming fully surrendered and used by You.  In Jesus’ Name, amen.
