Hallelujah my faith family, for the Lord has given us a new day. Today I would like to reflect on anger. While at times there is a really good reason for anger, I find that more often it is selfishness cloaked as anger. When I take my feelings before the Lord and ask for His truth and wisdom, I realize I was being self-focused. I realize some readers here are from various cultures, so please realize I’m speaking from my experience within a US-based culture. My anger is generally rooted in selfishness because I have been so blessed with so much and easily take it for granted, but many times anger is warranted as displayed by Jesus Himself. My prayers are for all of you today that struggle with anger or resentment. And for all my brothers and sisters that are free from this specific bondage, I raise yet another Hallelujah to our chain breaker, Jesus Christ.
Jonah 4:4 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
4 The Lord said, “Do you have good reason to be angry?”
Abba, I confess, I do not have a good reason. I pray humbly before You for Your help to move past any anger in our hearts. I pray with Your Words to Ezekiel that you “remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh” (Ezek. 11:19 NASB). Please help us to get out of our own way and get into alignment with Your Way. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
Amen
WhenI feel an onset of anger
Which has been too often many times more so I’m the far past than near past
I now think of cheating GOD of his vengeance
In addition I try to think what the person maybe going through causing me anger
Then I also try to not give the situation to the evil one for his credit
This gives me a feeling of power over the evil one’s helpers which are everywhere trying to please him by disrupting believers lives
This has been a great help for me
“MOST OF THE TIME”
Praise the Lord
Also thank you Matthew for your daily inspiration

I like the New Living Translation version of
Eph. 4:26
And “do not sin by letting anger control you.” Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,
We will get angry. But our Healer and Lord brings peace and self control through His Spirit. It is through this experience that others have blessed me with grace when I made them angry. That grace is what I pray for to allow others that same blessing.
Thank you brother for your continued friendship and love. You are a mighty and cherished brother in Christ.

Anger usually occurs when you don’t get your way.
When you overcome your selflessness the anger is usually gone.
Concentrate on the blessings in your life rather than the setbacks and the anger will not be there.
