Originally, the intent of reviving this blog was to be solely for daily prayers for all my loved ones and their loved ones. However, during a prayer walk, an overflowing of the Holy Spirit filled me with more joy than I have felt in years. This, right out of the blue as I am reviewing Proverbs on my scripture study cards.
The experience immediately brought even more of His Word to mind that I have been studying for the last 6 months. Here are but a few of the verses that came, flooding my mind, resulting in God based joy;
Job 23:12 “I have not departed from the command of His lips;
I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food. NASB
Psalm 119:11 Your word I have treasured in my heart,
That I may not sin against You. NASB
Jeremiah 15:16 Your words were found and I ate them,
And Your words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart… NASB
Matthew 4:4 …“It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’ NASB
and so many more.
This experience is not something that I feel every day or even every week. But when I feel this overflowing, I am now committed to recording them and sharing them in the hopes of encouraging others to invest in their relationship with Jesus and bind His Word around their necks and deep within their hearts.
As a final thought…
I encourage you all to remember at least one new verse of scripture each week. Replace old thoughts that do not serve with His Word that always serves, and call on Him when in need. Always for His glory.
